Redding Rebuilds is a volunteer effort developed for the sole purpose of raising money for Habitat for Humanity’s Operation Home Delivery. Operation Home Delivery is a program which will be bringing more than 3000 homes to the Gulf region devastated by Hurricane Katrina. All money raised by Redding Rebuilds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bridgeport, which will be assembling the components for 30 of these homes.
In order to raise the money, we are hosting A Night of Rock, Rhythm & Blues, with a special performance by the Shaded Soul Band, at The Redding Country Club. We have set a goal of $35,000, which is the cost of building the components for four homes.
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Bridgeport (HFHGB) is an independently-operated affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Their mission is to build simple, decent, and affordable communities for those less fortunate.
